Discover the LSU College of Agriculture

The LSU College of Agriculture offers eight undergraduate majors with over 40 concentrations. No matter your major, you will gain hands-on experience inside and outside the class. All our majors have opportunities to engage in hands-on labs, participate in undergraduate research, travel abroad, partake in internships, and connect with faculty. On Friday, May 17, 2024, the LSU College of Agriculture awarded 272 degrees during the spring commencement ceremony.

Tiger Twelve Class of 2024 Spotlight: Zachary Bonser

Zachary Bonser dedicated his time at LSU to pursuing a major in Agricultural & Extension Education, which he found transformative as he championed inclusivity and sustainability in the College of Agriculture and the wider industry. His receipt of the LSU Tiger Twelve award stands as a profound honor, acknowledging his impactful contributions both on and off-campus.

Research Spotlight: Ashton Dalton's Exploration of Optimal Cryoprotectants for Vitrified Bovine Oocytes

Ashton Dalton, a senior double majoring in Animal Sciences and Religious Studies, represented LSU Undergraduate Research at both the International Embryo Technology Society’s 50th annual conference in Denver, Colorado, and LSU Discover Day 2024 for his research on cryoprotectant influence on bovine oocyte mitochondrial function, aiming to optimize preservation methods for cattle reproduction.
